Tokyo Chic: Incredibly Detailed Sculptures Made of Broken Skateboards
What do you get when you start skating at an early age and amass a bunch of broken skateboards? The unlikely answer is sculpture. Enigmatic Tokyo-based Haroshi is a passionate skater and self-taught artist. Combining ancient Japanese sculptural techniques and a thoroughly modern aesthetic, he stacks used skateboard decks to create highly detailed three-dimensional wood sculptures, many of which have personally significant metal objects embedded inside.
