Delicate Symbiosis: A Guerrilla Sculptor Transforms Public Spaces

Artist Tasha Lewis pulls off a neat trick. She makes her mark on public places without leaving an indelible imprint. Her delicate butterfly sculptures are outfitted with small magnets so they can be temporarily attached to any metal surface—including the steel sculptures of other artists—without causing any harm to her “canvas.” Making a strong impression, but never causing offense, her work is transformative, fleeting, and full of hope.

More images of the artist’s guerrilla sculpture can be found on her blog and website.

Other projects can be found on the artist’s website.
