Handmade Recycled Paper Lamps

Made in Vietnam out of scrap paper from the magazine printing industry, these striking lamps cast a colourful glow. The lamps are produced by an organization that teaches young people new trades based on craft traditions dating back hundreds of years. But while the gluing and cutting techniques used to make the “Hallelujah” lamp are based on ancient techniques for creating traditional Vietnamese garlands, the aesthetic is thoroughly modern.
